About

I remember it well. I must have been 7 or 8 years of age. In those days, the library was the place to go for information. 20 books at a time, anywhere in the county. This seemed like a great idea to me and I spent many hours perusing the shelves, learning as much as I could.

So here I found myself again, perusing the shelves when, BAM! There it was. It was the cover that drew me in. Something about the eeriness of the photo and the word ‘monster’ in the title that intrigued me. What was this Loch Ness? I checked this book out many times from that day on and also, expanded my interest into other areas, such as, UFOs, aliens, the paranormal and other cryptoids.

As I grew older, my interests quickly expanded to include the sciences. I’ve worked in the field of chemistry for decades now, and as such I’ve become accustomed to applying the scientific method and using critical thinking skils. My interest in the unexplained has remained, but from a different perspective. I also love to write fiction, and currently have three books published. Here, the laws of physics can be ignored and the imagination truly let loose.

The Distant Edge supports various charities, with a focus on education and learning opportunities for children.

Happy trails!
